My order
How can I find out the status of my order?
In the purchase confirmation email you can, at any time, see in detail the current status of your order and the approximate delivery date.
If you have made the purchase by "Pick up in store", the approximate delivery date will refer to the date on which the order will be available for collection at our partner store .
How can I cancel my order?
To cancel your order you must contact us through one of our contact methods .
Why hasn't my order arrived?
If your order has not arrived and the approximate delivery date has already passed, first check your email in case you have an email informing you of any incident regarding your order. Also check your spam folder.

What happens if I'm not home when the order arrives?
If you are absent at the time of delivery, the carrier will leave you a note with the information so that you can contact the delegation responsible for the delivery and agree on a second date.
What happens if I receive the wrong, damaged or opened product?
If you receive a package that is damaged or tampered with at first glance, or if you receive the wrong package, please notify us through one of our contact methods.
Do you have a return or refund policy?
Due to the nature of the product (perishable food product) and its storage conditions, the return of the product is not possible.
Exceptions to the above are cases where the product is in poor condition and has defects such as damage, breakage or deficiency. In these cases, you must contact us through one of our contact methods.
Shipment
What are the delivery times?
Delivery times are between 1 and 3 business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) for the express option, and between 2 and 5 business days for the standard option.
In any case, delivery times begin to count from the moment the order is confirmed, with the customer receiving a confirmation and follow-up email until receipt.
How much is the shipping?
For orders placed in the following countries, the cost of transportation amounts to the following prices for amounts less than 50 euros and will be borne by the customer.
- Barcelona city : €5 (cold standard shipping) and €7 (cold express shipping).
- Spain (Peninsula) : €6 (cold standard shipping) and €8.50 (cold express shipping).
- Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla : €9.5 (cold standard shipping) and €13 (cold express shipping).
For orders for an amount equal to or greater than €50, the transportation cost will be borne by Notka.
Can you ship products worldwide?
At the moment, the delivery of products purchased through the website is limited to the following territories:
- Spain (Peninsula)
- Balearic Islands
- Canary Islands
- Ceuta and melilla
Soon, we will enable the possibility of international shipping.
In what state will the order arrive?
All our shipments are made cold with the aim of respecting the refrigeration chain throughout transportation. Thus, we can guarantee that the product arrives in optimal consumer conditions, and maintains its flavor and quality.
Picked up at the store
What is store pickup service?
With this option you can buy online and collect your order completely free at our collaborating store Vinus Brindis .
At the moment, the "Pick up in store" service is only available in Barcelona.
Once the purchase has been made, we will inform you in detail by email about the status of your order and when you can pick it up at the selected point.
Where do I pick up my order?
At the collaborating store Vinus Brindis (C/ de Calaf, 46, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, 08021 Barcelona).
If the product you want to buy has the "Pick up in store" option, you will see it indicated as a featured service on the product itself and also in the first purchase step.
What documentation do I need to present to be able to pick up my order?
To collect your order you will only need to present the order collection email, which we will send to the email account you have selected.
What time can I pick up the order?
You will be able to collect your order within the opening hours of the collaborating stores. We recommend you check the schedules on the next page .

How much time do I have to pick up my order?
You will have 20 calendar days from the email notification in which you are informed that the order is now available for collection.
What happens if I don't pick up an order within the indicated period?
If you do not collect the order within the indicated period, which is 20 calendar days from receipt of the e-mail, it will be returned to our warehouses, with the corresponding refund once the products are received.
Can I return my order if I have picked it up in a store?
The same Return Policy applies to "Pickup in Store" orders as for other orders.
Can I try the products in the store where I pick up the order?
Sometimes, our partner stores have samples so you can taste the product before buying it. You must ask the person in charge who will tell you what samples are available at that time.

Where do our cocoa beans come from?
Directly or indirectly, thanks to several collaborating companies, despite being a small company we have managed to carefully control the entire cocoa process from the tree to the final product.
In this way, we work only with the most unique cocoa beans in the world to achieve the highest standards of quality and sustainability. Furthermore, we pay a premium much higher than the world market price to achieve this superior quality.
Do you offer a guarantee?
We are sure you will love our chocolate as much as we do. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied, do not hesitate to contact us through one of our contact methods.
Does chocolate have an expiration date?
Our chocolate products should preferably be consumed before the date indicated on the box.
The best before date refers to quality, since the food is safe to consume after the date, but it may lose its own organoleptic characteristics such as flavor, texture, etc. As an example, there are studies that support the possibility that dark chocolate is still edible after 100 years of storage. But we don't recommend waiting that long to eat chocolate.
How do I preserve my chocolate products?
The ideal is to store Notka products in a cool, dry place at a constant temperature between 14 and 18 degrees.
However, our chocolate can tolerate higher ones without problem. It may be a little softer and won't break down as well, but it still shouldn't melt. Keep in mind that dark chocolate tolerates heat much better than chocolates or milk chocolate.
Do not store chocolates in the refrigerator because the sugar content will crystallize due to humidity. A storage location that is too hot is also not ideal as the cocoa butter will release and settle as a white layer on the surface. Due to the loss of cocoa butter, the chocolate will dry out and lose its aroma.
Can I store chocolate in the refrigerator?
The optimal temperature to store chocolate is between 14-18°C. Refrigerators are not suitable environments to preserve chocolate due to:
- high humidity, which can cause sugar bloom;
- the low temperatures that "steal" the aromas and the chocolate could absorb the smell of the rest of the food stored in the refrigerator; and
- strong fluctuations in temperature that can move the cocoa butter to the surface and leave a white layer known as "fat bloom" (which, despite its appearance, is completely harmless to health).
If there is really no other remedy, the chocolate should be placed in the refrigerator in an airtight container or double wrapped in plastic and placed in the lower section of the refrigerator. Let the chocolate come to room temperature slowly for several hours before consuming.
What would happen if chocolate was not stored correctly?
Notka chocolate products are very sensitive to any excessive conditions, whether too hot or too cold. Chocolates can be negatively affected if exposed to unfavorable conditions after manufacturing, resulting in blooming.
We take all possible measures to take care of our products during distribution. However, once the product is delivered, we have little control over the storage conditions, for example the temperature and humidity at which the chocolate is kept.
What does the percentage of cocoa in the tablets mean?
The percentage (%) quantifies the amount of cocoa contained in the chocolate. For example, the "Arhuaco 82%" tablet contains 82% cocoa solids.
The remaining percentage represents the proportion of the rest of the ingredients such as cane sugar, cocoa butter, and milk in the "Femmes de Virunga 55%" tablet.
Ingredients and allergens
What allergens do your products have?

As a summary, Single Origin Tablets are nut-free, soy-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and gluten-free and made with organic, unrefined cane sugar.
In the case of ready-made products, THEY CONTAIN a greater number of allergens such as milk, soy or hazelnut. In addition, these products MAY also CONTAIN traces of almonds, eggs, peanuts, sesame and other nuts.
Do you have any gluten-free options?
All our products are gluten-free.

Do you have any options for people with lactose intolerance?

Most of the single origin tablets we offer DO NOT contain dairy products. Except for the "Femmes de Virunga 55%" bar, the rest are made with dark chocolate so no milk is added.
On the other hand, in the case of ready-made products, the majority CONTAIN dairy products to achieve the interior textures of the chocolates. For this reason, these products are not suitable for people with lactose intolerance.
Do you have sugar-free or low sugar chocolate products?
Currently, we only offer one sugar-free product: the "Cusco 100%" single-origin tablet.
For reduced sugar content, you can try the "Arhuaco 82%" and "Piura 75%" chocolate bars.
Do you have any vegan options?
Our single-origin tablets are all vegan, while ready-made products contain some non-vegan ingredients such as milk or butter.

Do Notka products contain alcohol?
Few Notka chocolate products contain alcohol or alcoholic liquors as an ingredient. Specifically, only four chocolates contain a minimum amount of alcohol in their recipes:
- Pisco Lima (origin Peru).
- Vanilla bourbon (Colombia origin).
- Vodka and spicy mango (Ecuador origin).
This ingredient is included in the product ingredient list located in the nutritional section of the package.
